Requirements

Must be 18yrs old or older
Has the ability to take direction while working with others to collaboratively perform the job duties
Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Work requires lifting, carrying and restraining animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.). Should be able to lift 40lbs on own.
Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent or squatting position.

Nice To Haves

Prefer 1+ years of experience, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient care, handling, and safe restraint
Support veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
Aiding with routine diagnostic tests (i.e taking radiographs, running bloodwork, submitting labwork)
Maintain hospital cleanliness, including exam rooms, treatment areas, cages, and equipment
Stock supplies, maintain and sterilize instruments, and communicate effectively with clients
May cross-train as a CSR, including answering phones, scheduling, and checking clients in and out
