About The Position

VCA Northwood Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our exceptional team! Schedule: Part-time, three shifts per week that would include some Saturdays. Compensation: The starting range is $ 16 - 18/hr and is determined by license, skill set, and years of experience in the field. What You'll Do: As a member of VCA Northwood Animal Hospital, you will support the team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Skills that will be utilized may include, but are not limited to: Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams and procedures Take patient histories and perform TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration) Restrain animals safely and compassionately Prepare and clean exam rooms Assist with radiographs, lab sample collection, and basic in-house diagnostics Maintain accurate medical records and support charting Provide client education and ensure excellent service during visits Help maintain a clean, stocked, and organized hospital environment Plus more! Requirements

• Previous experience in a veterinary setting as a Veterinary Assistant
• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities
