About The Position

At Animal Hospital of Shawnee Hills, our secret sauce is our culture. We are one of the most collaborative teams you’ll find in veterinary medicine. There is no front/back divide here. Doctors jump in to help. Technicians help assistants. Everyone steps up. If something needs to be done, whoever has free hands, handles it. We’re looking for an Experienced Veterinary Assistant who thrives in that kind of environment and takes pride in being an essential part of the team. Why You'll Love Us: Community Connection, Elevated Care - We’re a full-service veterinary hospital offering everything from wellness and surgery to acupuncture and canine rehab. With advanced diagnostics and a Fear Free approach, we deliver thoughtful, high-quality medicine that truly makes a difference. Loyal Clients, Lasting Bonds - Our clients trust us because we take the time to listen, educate, and care. We’ve built strong, lasting relationships in Shawnee Hills by putting pets and their people first. Supportive, Growth-Focused Culture - Our collaborative team values compassion, professionalism, and a willingness to pitch in. We support each other, celebrate wins together, and create an environment where you can grow and thrive. Collaborative by Design - A successful day here means anticipating needs, not waiting to be asked. If you see an RX label sitting out, a blood sample waiting, or rooms backing up, you jump in. Whether scheduled in rooms or floating, everyone is expected to pitch in, including our doctors (teamwork!). Find Your Niche - Passionate about labs? Radiology? Nutrition consults? We’ll help you develop your interests and become the go-to in that area. We believe growth keeps great people engaged.
