About The Position

Baldwin Harbor Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Assistant! As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play a key role in patient care and client service while working alongside experienced DVMs, Licensed Veterinary Technicians, assistants, and receptionists. Requirements

Experience working with animals (veterinary hospital experience strongly preferred)
Strong multitasking skills and a calm, compassionate presence
Team-first mindset with clear, respectful communication
Professionalism and tact when handling sensitive or stressful situations
Love for learning—we’re happy to train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

Care for hospitalized and boarding pets: feeding, walking, comfort, fresh water
Keep the hospital spotless: clean/disinfect cages, runs, and common areas; manage laundry
Stock exam rooms and treatment areas; maintain supplies
Assist with surgical prep and recovery; wrap surgical packs; clean/sterilize instruments
Safely restrain patients and assist doctors and technicians during exams and procedures
