About The Position

VCA Chatoak Animal Hospital is seeking a full time Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join the team at our AAHA accredited, full-service hospital in Granada Hills, CA. VCA Chatoak's talented team of medical professionals is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care to cats & dogs. • Physical examinations and patient assessment
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Laboratory work
• Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, IV fluid therapy
• Catheter placement
• Pharmacy
• Patient recovery
• Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals
• All aspects of patient care
• Animal handling and restraint
• IM, IV,SQ injections
• Dental cleanings/dental radiography
• Digital radiography
• Nursing care/hospitalization treatments
• Client communication
