About The Position

Join the VCA Katy Trail Animal Hospital Team! We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! We are a 9 doctor practice in the heart of Uptown Dallas committed to providing excellent customer service to our clients and keeping quality medicine as our "north star". Location: 4151 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, TX 75204 Pay: $20.00 - 23.00/hr depending on experience and credentials Schedule: 4 -10 hour shifts one week (M-F), then 3- 10 hour shifts M-F and a 6 hour Saturday shift the next week. As a member of the VCA team, you will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent-by delivering an outstanding client experience-so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to: Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures. Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals. Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law). Maintaining medical records. Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed. Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment. Client Communication/Education and Patient Assessments Radiology Venipuncture, catheter placement, and lab work Medication administration and pharmacy duties Patient Recovery/Post-operative monitoring Compassionate care for hospitalized animals We value your time and that is why we have a very quick and easy application process.
