Requirements

2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant.
Strong work ethic and dedication to animal care.
Ability to think forward and approach tasks with curiosity.
Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills.
Proficiency in client communication and interaction.

Responsibilities

Utilize your skill set to the highest level in supporting the medical team.
Handle and restrain pets during exams safely and effectively.
Record accurate medical records using appropriate veterinary terminology.
Assist with appointments, x-rays, lab work, and various procedures.
Perform and complete lab work as needed.
Conduct radiology tasks with an understanding of appropriate fields.
Complete necessary medical calculations efficiently.
Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used veterinary medications.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate closely with DVMs and coworkers for optimal patient care.
Communicate discharge instructions clearly to pet owners.
Perform other duties as assigned by the team leader.
Engage in continuous learning and improvement of skills.
Model and promote a healthy work/life balance, self-compassion, and a supportive work environment free of blame and judgment.
