About The Position

At Home Veterinary seeks an experienced veterinary technician who is energetic, fun, friendly, organized, and attentive to detail, with experience restraining and working with animals for medical procedures. This position is a fast-paced job with tons of direct interaction with pets and owners in their homes. You will work side-by-side with a friendly and experienced veterinarian. We are a busy veterinary practice that specializes in house calls for dogs and cats. We provide high-quality and compassionate care for our patients, and professional, concierge-level service for our clients, all in the client's homes in the greater Boston and MetroWest area. Schedule and Location The schedule is full-time, temporary position (approximately 6 months), with 9–10-hour days though occasionally you will swap and work a different weekday, or a weekend day, to help cover a team member's time off. You will begin and end your day in South Grafton. (Occasionally you’ll be asked to assist other veterinarians on our team based elsewhere in the area, or in our Natick office.) Job Responsibilities and Requirements You will spend your day riding along with the veterinarian and assisting at all appointments. In particular, you'll help hold animals for procedures (including exams, blood draws, urine collection, etc.) and assist the vet with all other aspects of the visit (preparing vaccines, reviewing records, entering notes and charges in the computer, interacting with clients, etc.). Previous veterinary experience is important! The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician. Strong computer skills, as well as fast and accurate typing, are important qualifications.
