About The Position

VCA Arroyo Grande Animal Hospital is a busy , small animal practice in Arroyo Grande, California. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Veterinary Assistant/Room Technician to join our team! Duties will include: Tracking scheduled appointments Assisting veterinarians; ensuring patients are served in a timely manner Drawing up vaccines Taking pet's vitals Cleaning, stocking and maintaining exam rooms Animal Restraint Assist with technical and clerical duties as assigned Maintaining medical records Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• At least one year of Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Technician Assistant or Room Technician experience preferred
• Must have great communication skills
• Must be a "people person" and have the ability to interact with clients, doctors, and staff.
• Must have a flexible schedule and able to work Saturdays
• Organized, able to multi-task and DEPENDENT!
