About The Position

Seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join and grow with our team. VCA Dover Animal Hospital is a modern 2 doctor practice in Dover, De. Looking to grow our team! We are located within 45 minutes of the Delaware/Maryland Beaches which hosts many outdoor recreational opportunities .For those who enjoy the city and all that is has to offer we are within 2 hours of Philadelphia/ DC and we are within 10 minutes of the DAFB. Our newly built facility is conveniently located at 201 Towne Centre Drive Suite 100 Dover De 19904. We offer our clients a high standard of care and we believe in educating our clients so they can make the best medical choices for their pets. We have a new state of the art facility with 7 exam rooms (2 cat only exam rooms) . Our ideal candidate will genuinely enjoy working with animals and their owners and want to be part of a fun, interactive team. Good communication skills and the ability to handle a steady patient load while maintaining a good sense of humor are encouraged. Our strong mentorship capabilities and nurturing team approach will help anyone interested in succeeding learn how to make a positive impact on the overall quality of life for pets. Responsibilities

  • Maintaining medical records.
  • Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.
  • Filling prescriptions.
  • Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
  • Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
