Our Veterinary Assistants lead appointments, monitor anesthesia for general surgeries and dental procedures, see outpatient assistant/technician appointments and dental/surgical discharge appointments, run a modern in-house laboratory, operate a class-IV therapeutic laser, handle phone questions and triage, perform nursing care of inpatients, and otherwise fully utilize the unique knowledge and skills of a Veterinary Assistant. Assistants perform various other duties based on experience and qualifications. Pay is higher than typical for our area and competitive with Northern Virginia practices (an easy traffic-free "reverse commute" for NoVA residents).
