About The Position

Central Veterinary Hospital is a well-established veterinary general practice located in the Bay Area. We are searching for a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Fremont, CA! We’re offering a competitive hourly rate of $22 - 28 per hour based on experience, along with training/career growth potential and comprehensive benefits. Schedule: Monday 9:00am-5:30pm, Tuesday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. We are looking for compassionate, motivated team players who are committed to excellent client service and interested in the field. Requirements

Surgical Assisting
Drawing and running blood work
X-rays and proper positioning
Proper animal handling and restraint
Client Education

Responsibilities

Adhering to hospital standards that keep pets safe, and the treatment areas, and exam rooms clean and organized
Support Client Services Representatives
Understanding the importance of client education
Assisting the Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians in daily tasks
Assisting with catheter placement and blood draws
Assisting with X-rays with proper positioning
Set up for minor procedures
Assist in restraint for minor procedures and exams
Maintenance of laundry and surgical instruments
Surgery prep and monitoring
Ability to properly restrain animals and lift up to 40 pounds
