Requirements

  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Must love animals, even when they're ill, anxious, or aggressive
  • Experience preferred (1+ years), but not required
  • Must be physically capable:
  • Lift 40 lbs unassisted
  • Stand/walk for long periods
  • Bend/squat frequently
  • Able to work well with all hospital staff levels

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
  • Monitor hospitalized animals, especially after surgery
  • Administer medications under supervision
  • Perform or assist with diagnostics: radiographs, bloodwork, fecal analysis
  • Restraining animals during procedures (e.g. blood draws, nail trims)
  • Sterilize surgical instruments and maintain equipment
  • Maintain inventory and stock supplies
  • Clean/disinfect cages, kennels, and clinical areas
  • Handle feeding, bathing, and general care
  • Answer phones, provide customer service, and support clients
  • Perform other duties as needed to support hospital operations
