About The Position

VCA Noah's Ark Animal Hospital in beautiful Goleta, CA is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team! We are dedicated to delivering high quality patient care to companion and exotic pets in Santa Barbara County. We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to help complete our healthcare team! As a member of the VCA Noah's Ark team, you will support other vet assistants, technicians and doctors by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission is to provide an excellent client experience and deliver exceptional patient care. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: All aspects of patient care Physical patient assessment Animal handling and restraint IM, IV, SQ injections Nursing care/hospitalization treatments Client communication Pharmacy Laboratory work Hands Free Digital Radiography Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, IV fluid therapy Anesthesia monitoring Surgical preparation and assisting Dental cleanings/dental radiography Patient Recovery We are passionate about supporting Veterinary Assistants and are committed to your continuing education and personal career development.
