About The Position
Come join our team at Avondale Animal Hospital! We are a 3-veterinarian small animal practice in the heart of downtown Birmingham. We are located in the Avondale community near Lakeview, Crestwood, Southside, and Irondale. We are a busy practice looking for a driven, hardworking individual to join our team to continue providing the best veterinary care for the people of Birmingham. Our facility is state of the art with an approximately 2500 sq. feet work space and updated veterinary equipment. The Veterinary Assistant is responsible for assisting Veterinarians and Credentialed Veterinary Technicians in the care of animals, the hospital, and all medical equipment and machinery. Assistants will help maintain a clean, efficient, and healthy environment for animals being treated or boarded at the hospital. The Veterinary Assistant is a crucial part of the medical team and is responsible for advocating for the patient as well as education of the clients.
