About The Position
As a veterinary assistant at Banfield, you will act as the extra eyes, ears, and hands for the veterinarian and veterinary technician to ensure the best quality pet care and maximize their productivity. You will communicate with the veterinary team and other associates to maintain the flow of patients, provide professional and exceptional service, and perform or prepare procedures that do not require direct veterinarian or veterinary technician assistance. Your role will also involve educating clients about pet health needs and hospital services, obtaining relevant information from clients, and ensuring the safety of pets and clients by following standard protocols. Additionally, you will assist with surgeries as applicable and mentor other paraprofessionals in the hospital.
