About The Position
Town & Country Animal Hospital (TCAH) in Wheeling, WV, established in 1981, is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a commitment to providing exceptional care to our patients. The Veterinary Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinary team in delivering high-quality medical care to animals. This position requires a compassionate individual who is passionate about animal welfare and has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Veterinary Assistant will assist in various tasks, including but not limited to, preparing animals for examinations, assisting during procedures, and providing post-operative care. The ideal candidate will have experience in animal restraint and venipuncture, as well as a strong understanding of veterinary practices and procedures. At TCAH, we pride ourselves on our comprehensive approach to veterinary care, which includes a fully stocked pharmacy, a large treatment/ICU area, and advanced diagnostic tools such as ultrasound and digital radiography.
