Requirements

Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital required
Strong communication and client service skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced veterinary environment
Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes
Team-oriented and dependable

Nice To Haves

Experience as a Veterinary Assistant, Vet Assistant, or Veterinary Receptionist preferred

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with exams, treatments, and patient care
Safely restrain dogs and cats during exams and procedures
Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean treatment area
Collect and prepare laboratory samples
Support diagnostic procedures such as bloodwork and radiographs
Maintain accurate medical records
Clean and sterilize equipment and hospital areas
Greet clients and check pets in and out for appointments
Answer phones and schedule appointments
Communicate treatment plans and estimates
Process invoices and payments
Provide excellent client communication and customer service
