Requirements

  • Veterinary Assistants Previous veterinary or animal care experience preferred
  • Strong animal handling and patient care skills
  • Interest in developing technical veterinary skills
  • Passion for teamwork and learning
  • Veterinary Technicians 1–3+ years of veterinary clinical experience preferred
  • Strong technical skills including diagnostics and anesthesia support
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT / LVT) Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred
  • South Carolina licensure preferred but not required
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during patient exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide safe animal restraint and patient handling
  • Collect and process diagnostic samples (blood, urine, fecal)
  • Perform radiographs following safety protocols
  • Assist with anesthesia preparation and monitoring based on skill level
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed
  • Monitor hospitalized and post-operative patients
  • Support veterinarians by educating clients on treatment plans and preventative care
  • Provide discharge instructions and follow-up guidance
  • Deliver compassionate and professional customer service
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Keep treatment areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols
  • Work collaboratively with veterinarians and fellow team members to deliver exceptional patient care
