Ultimately, a top-notch Veterinary Assistant/Technician will be able to tailor their care according to animals' physical, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. As a Veterinary Assistant/Technician, you must have a positive attitude and a genuine love for dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes. In this role, you do more than cleaning and disinfecting our kennels — you also learn animal care and behavior basics while assisting our team with appointments, restraint, treatments, and cleaning. You should also be able to promptly communicate diminished functioning to the Certified Veterinary Technician and/or Veterinarian on call. Having previous experience in a pet care environment or kennel management is desired, but we will provide training to the right candidate.
