As an Oncology Veterinary Assistant, you will assist the Technicians and Doctors monitoring patients who are receiving chemotherapy infusions, set up appropriate materials for short and long chemotherapy administration, and be comfortable with restraint. You will also be responsible for safely dispensing, reconstituting, and administering SQ/IM chemotherapy agents, stocking and cleaning, and properly wrapping and shaving for an IV catheter for chemotherapy infusion.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Technicians and Doctors monitoring patients receiving chemotherapy infusions
• Set up appropriate materials for short and long chemotherapy administration
• Comfortable with restraint
• Safely dispense, reconstitute, and administer SQ/IM chemotherapy agents
• Stocking and cleaning
• Properly wrap and shave for an IV catheter for chemotherapy infusion
