About The Position

Our Aurora campus is seeking a skilled and passionate veterinary professional to instruct and mentor students in our Veterinary Assistant program. This is a hands-on teaching role perfect for someone who loves sharing their knowledge and wants to make a real difference in the lives of students and animals.

Requirements

• A current, unencumbered credential as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
• Must meet one of the following: Graduation from an accredited Veterinary Assistant or AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program, OR
• A minimum of four (4) years of job-related training and experience.
• A minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in the veterinary field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Three (3) years of teaching experience in the subject field.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver dynamic, hands-on lessons that cater to various learning styles.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work to foster growth and competency.
• Mentor students through their academic journey and support their externship placement.
• Collaborate with campus teams to ensure a seamless and supportive student experience.
