Requirements

• Experience required. We are willing to train people who are willing to learn with an upbeat attitude.
• Medication Clerk license preferred, will help you obtain if not currently licensed.
• You are willing to go with the flow to help a growing company succeed in both conventional and novel ways.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in the BoosterPet medical team to provide quality medical care, model BoosterPet's core values
• Be tech savvy
• Support BoosterPet virtual care and urgent care services
• Complete detailed medical records with thorough medical history. Ensure medical records are accurate within the practice management system
• Educate animal owners
• Complete vitals on behalf of our DVMs/veterinary technicians
• Liaising with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure continuity of patient care
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure safety of pets, clients, and team members
• Administer medications and vaccines prescribed by a veterinarian
• Maintain medication clerk licensure
• Obtain and verify medications
• Perform phlebotomy duties, and provide intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SQ) injections
• Restrain pets in a manner that allows necessary work to be performed, minimizes stress to pets, and ensures the safety of pets and people
• Assist at front desk/kiosk and greet clients/patients upon entry
• Answer phones and make appointments as needed
