About The Position
The Veterinary Assistant at Banfield Pet Hospital plays a crucial role in supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure the safety and well-being of pets, clients, and fellow associates. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about animal care and are eager to contribute to a team dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary services. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining a comfortable environment for both pets and their owners, utilizing your technical skills in accordance with state practice acts and NAVTA guidelines. You will assist in various procedures, manage patient flow, and uphold the cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs. Additionally, you will educate clients about the importance of preventive care and our Optimum Wellness Plans®, while also mentoring other team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
