About The Position
We’re hiring a Veterinary Assistant for our growing animal hospital. As a Veterinary Assistant (technician), you will assist the doctor with medical procedures, while under their direct supervision. You will help create positive, lasting impressions and build trust and loyalty with clients and their pets. Your role will involve providing written and verbal communication to clients regarding their pet’s care, including answering any questions they may have, helping to educate them on treatments, and gaining their consent for treatment plans. You will deliver WOW customer service to clients and their pets, manage medical records through practice management software, dispense medication, perform x-rays, perform blood draws, place catheters, obtain samples, provide treatments, run diagnostic equipment, administer vaccines, and provide animal restraint when necessary. Additionally, you will be responsible for the setup, breakdown, cleaning, and maintenance of medical equipment, as well as assisting with cleaning all areas of the hospital.
