Veterinary Assistant - Dermatology
About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an extraordinary Dermatology Veterinary Assistant! This is a full-time position with service hours operating Tuesday - Thursday, 7am-5pm. Pay: $17.50 - $26.00 / hour This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system. As a Dermatology Veterinary Assistant, you will: Be comfortable with heavy client communication Obtain patient's history Preferably, be comfortable with routine dermatology medications and side effects Venipuncture and placing intravenous catheters Able to use Dermatology terms Swab for Otic Cytology, and ear mite preparation Prepare for Skin Biopsy Able to recognize alopecia, nodules and tumors Patient care including diagnostic procedures and treatments Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients Familiar and proficient with aseptic techniques Familiar with laboratory procedures and practices Why BluePearl?
