Prism Veterinary Dentistry is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. The Veterinary Assistant is vital in all aspects of our work playing a key role in both client communication and patient care. You will work closely with our dedicated staff to provide best in class medical care to our patients.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience as a veterinary assistant
  • Confident in Fear Free handling and restraint techniques
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as colleagues
  • The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude
  • An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning

Responsibilities

  • Keep surgical tables/areas clean and prepped for procedures
  • Aid clinical team with post-op patient recovery
  • Document surgical notes per doctor’s or LVT’s orders (e.g. dental charting)
  • Maintain surgical instruments
  • Support clinical team during patient consultations
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Fill/dispense medications per doctor’s orders
  • Maintain clinical areas

  • The pay range for this role is: $20-$24/hr. This pay range represents our target hiring range for this role. The proposed pay will be dependent on the candidate's skills, experience, and competencies

After graduation, we also cover your VTNE exam and licensure fees, with no post-graduation work commitment required.
