About The Position

The Village Vets Stone Mountain sits on the corner of Stone Mountain and Lilburn. We are seeking an experienced DVM to join their inclusive, diverse, and team-oriented family. We have in-house diagnostic abilities including Idexx lab machines, digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, and ultrasound. Our hospital has separate surgery and dental suites. Doctor's hours are 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Monday - Friday and only 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Saturdays. We pride ourselves on a team-oriented culture with state-of-the-art equipment. *AHAA Accredited*

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of in which applicant is applying
• Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
• Ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members
• Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets
• Compassionate team player who can uphold great reputation with clients
• Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
• Proficiency in surgery a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care to our patients while developing rapport with their owners
• Perform physical examinations, surgeries, and dentistry
• Communicate with clients and educate them on preventative health care, including vaccines and nutritional products
• Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient
• Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
• Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service
• Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public
