About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced, full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our well-established small animal practice in the Heights neighborhood of Little Rock, Arkansas. Allpets Animal Hospital has been part of the Little Rock community since 1993. Our beautiful, modern, two-story facility includes: Five exam rooms Open-concept main floor with in-house pharmacy Large upstairs surgical suite Two wet tables Private doctor offices Grooming area Separate dog and cat recovery spaces Abundant natural light Elevator access A pneumatic tube system (yes, really — it’s as fun and efficient as it sounds) We offer a full range of services including wellness care, dentistry, radiology, surgery, breeding and nutritional counseling, and more. Our ideal candidate works a four‑day week with a rotating Saturday, offering a balanced schedule that supports both professional growth and personal well‑being.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
  • Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
  • Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
  • Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
  • Strong fondness and understanding of animals
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of animal behavior
  • Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
  • Treat and dress wounds
  • Perform surgery on animals
  • Test for and vaccinate against diseases
  • Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
  • Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
  • Prescribe medication
  • Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care
