About The Position

Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill in Brooklyn NY is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our 3-doctor team for a dedicated Saturday-only role. This position is ideal for a doctor with strong ER or urgent care experience who enjoys a fast pace and wants a consistent weekly schedule without weekday commitments. Candidates with Small Animal or Emergency internship training and 2+ years of post-internship experience are strongly preferred. Each Saturday, you will work in a supportive environment where you can expect to see 16 to 18 patients through 30-minute appointments, along with 4 to 6 drop offs and walk ins. We treat dogs and cats and provide daytime urgent care. We do not offer overnights or after-hours care at this location. Surgery is not required. We welcome doctors who prefer appointments and urgent care only. This is a client facing role that calls for clear communication, sound judgment, and a calm presence. Many clients have been with us for years, and our skilled support staff handles all technical tasks so you can stay focused on patient care. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, decisive, has strong communication skills, and can thrive in a busy setting. Emergency and/or urgent care experience is a requirement. Collaboration with our close-knit team across our three locations is key. You must be passionate about high-quality veterinary care and delivering excellent customer service. This part time role is a one day per week position with a set shift of Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. There are no on call duties, no holiday shifts, and no additional weekday or weekend hours. With 30-minute appointments, you will have the time you need to assess patients, discuss treatment plans, and support strong client relationships. You will provide focused diagnostics, treatment, and follow up care while working with a skilled team in a well-equipped environment. A minimum 3:1 staff to doctor ratio. You will have the support—and respect—you need to be excellent for our patients. We've got your back. Our team consists of 4 DVMs, 2 LVTs, 8 Assistants, and 5 CSRs, led by a highly experienced Practice Manager with a strong lead technician background. The team is exceptionally skilled, cohesive, and efficient—a well-oiled machine that allows doctors to focus fully on medicine and client relationships.
