Requirements

  • DVM/VMD from an AVMA -accredited program
  • Active or eligible state licensure
  • Eligibility for DEA/BNDD
  • Excellent communication skills and a team -focused mindset
  • Professionalism and compassion in every interaction
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds independently (and more with assistance)

Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose illness and injury
  • Utilize modern diagnostic equipment and interpret results
  • Educate and guide pet owners on preventive care and treatment plans
  • Perform surgery and dentistry
  • Prescribe medications responsibly
  • Provide compassionate end -of -life counseling
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Uphold veterinary ethics, policies, and protocols
