VetPartners Australia Pty Ltd is seeking to recruit several Veterinarians, Veterinary Directors, Emergency Veterinarians, Veterinary Registrars, and Veterinary Specialists across Australia including locations in VIC with daily responsibilities including: Treating animals medically and surgically, and administering and prescribing drugs, analgesics, and general and local anaesthetics Determining the presence and nature of abnormal conditions by physical examination, laboratory testing and through diagnostic imaging techniques, including radiography and ultrasound Performing surgery, dressing wounds and setting broken bones rendering obstetric services to animals Participating in programs designed to prevent the occurrence and spread of animal diseases. Inoculating animals against, and testing for, infectious diseases and notifying authorities of outbreaks of infectious animal diseases Performing autopsies to determine the cause of death. Advising clients on health, nutrition and feeding, hygiene, breeding and care of animals May provide professional services to commercial firms producing biological and pharmaceutical products. May specialise in the treatment of a particular animal group or in a particular speciality area such as cardiology, ophthalmology, surgery, oncology, radiology, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, chiropractic, dermatology or critical care. Professional Development: CPD allowance, board exam support, peer journal clubs Wellbeing Focus: Mental health leave, staff wellness programs, team lunches As part of the VetPartners network, teaching and speaking engagement opportunities through VetPartners’ own Veterinary Training Centre What we are looking for: Minimum 1 year of experience in small animal practice veterinarian, 2 years for an ECC Veterinarian and 3 years for a specialist, with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine qualification accredited with the AVBC, and/or have completed a NAVLE, AVE examination and be eligible for registration as required to practice in the State. International veterinarians with a minimum of 1 year full-time post-qualification experience may be eligible for sponsorship through VetPartners.
