About The Position

Appalachian Animal Hospital in Weaverville, NC is seeking a small animal veterinarian to join our well-established, multi-doctor practice. We provide care for canines, felines, pocket pets, equines, and ruminants, offering a diverse and rewarding caseload. We welcome applications from experienced, surgically focused veterinarians as well as motivated recent graduates with a strong interest in surgery. Scheduling is flexible, and we are open to both full-time and part-time arrangements. At Appalachian Animal Hospital, we pride ourselves on our family-like atmosphere where collaboration, support, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do. This opportunity is ideal for veterinarians who enjoy working in a close-knit, skilled team. Our full-time schedule consists of four weekdays (Monday–Friday) with only one weekend shift per month.

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Experience in small animal surgery preferred.
• Strong interest in surgery for recent graduates.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
