About The Position
Foothill Farms Veterinary Hospital is seeking to welcome an Associate DVM to our growing, multi-doctor practice located in Sacramento, California. Our hospital is dedicated to providing Fear Free services for both our clients and patients, making it an ideal workplace for compassionate and friendly individuals. We are open to veterinarians of all experience levels, including recent graduates, as we prioritize growth and learning opportunities. Our current doctors are enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring, ensuring that all team members, regardless of their skill level, feel supported in their professional development. Top consideration will be given to candidates who are passionate about veterinary medicine, possess a strong work ethic, and enjoy collaborating with a team. Candidates must be licensed or able to become licensed in California to be considered for this position. This full-time role offers flexible scheduling, typically consisting of four or five days a week, with no on-call or after-hours emergency responsibilities. Our workflow generally includes two doctors on duty, with one performing surgeries in the morning followed by appointments, while the second doctor manages appointments throughout the day. Weekend hours are primarily dedicated to appointments, with the exception of dental procedures. Our team has shifted away from intensive and emergency surgeries, but we maintain strong relationships with outside specialists and have an orthopedics suite for advanced procedures. Additionally, we offer alternative services such as acupuncture, cold laser therapy, and Reiki, enhancing our holistic approach to veterinary care.
