About The Position

Village Veterinary Practice, located in the charming western suburbs of Chicago, is seeking an experienced full-time veterinarian to join our dynamic team! Our AAHA-accredited facility, which has been in the community since 2000, features six exam rooms, a surgical suite, a dental wet table, and a large treatment area, ensuring a comfortable and efficient environment for our staff and patients. Without boarding or grooming services, we are fully focused on providing high-quality patient care. We offer a full range of modern equipment, including a therapeutic laser, POCUS, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and a cloud-based PIMS system. We are always open to upgrading equipment to meet the needs of our doctors, and we have plans to update flooring in key areas of the clinic soon. We specialize in 100% small animal care (70% dogs, 30% cats) and maintain a strong focus on wellness and preventive medicine. Our doctors see an average of 13 patients per day, with 30-minute appointments and special house calls for wellness and euthanasia. We also schedule same-day sick visits to manage overflow and maintain smooth operations. Our team enjoys a noon-to-2 pm break for lunch and catch-up. Our clinic culture is built around teamwork and work-life balance. We maintain a 2:1 doctor-to-CVT/assistant ratio, with four CVTs on staff, and most of our team members are Fear Free certified. We limit Saturday shifts to once a month and close at 5 pm on Fridays, ensuring that our team has ample time to recharge.
