About The Position

Eno Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and passionate associate veterinarian to join our team. Located in Durham, NC, our practice is a small animal only facility that prides itself on providing quality care with compassion in an inclusive and empowering environment. We are a Fear Free certified hospital, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care without the stress often associated with veterinary visits. Our team consists of three doctors and a supportive staff, with a favorable ratio of veterinary assistants to doctors (2-2.5/1). Importantly, there are no on-call or emergency hours, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. We are looking for someone who is eager to make a difference in the lives of pets and their families.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current North Carolina DVM license.
• Basic competency in surgery, including spays, neuters, and small mass removals.
• Basic competency in dentistry preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Passion to present the best medicine.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to treat pets per Fear Free protocols.
• Positive, willing attitude to learn, grow, and contribute to our success.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose health issues.
• Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
• Perform surgical procedures with precision and care.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health management.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Stay updated on the latest veterinary practices and advancements.
