About The Position
Under the general direction of the Director of Benefit Operations, Tennessee Department of Veterans Services, the Regional Director leads, supervises and manages a team of Veteran Service Officers (VSO) spread across West Tennessee. The Regional Director is responsible for training, mentoring and coaching both VSOs and County Veteran Service Officers (CSO) assisting claimants in the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims for U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs benefits. Performance of these duties requires frequent interaction with veterans, dependents, and survivors as well as U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs employees. Professional staff administrative work in support of Division operations and performance of related work is also required.
