About The Position
The Area BevCarb Manager (ABM) position at Airgas is a pivotal role that reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing various operational aspects within the Bulk Cryo Logistics sector, particularly focusing on beverage carbonation. The ABM will manage daily operations, ensuring that delivery drivers adhere to standard operating procedures and planned routes while providing safe and efficient customer service. This role requires a strategic mindset, as the ABM will engage in activities such as operations management, process improvement, and business planning. The ABM will also be responsible for staff management, route planning, and conducting periodic and ad hoc reporting to ensure operational efficiency. In this role, the ABM will analyze both live and historical data to maintain optimal delivery plans and customer frequency. They will manage labor hours and direct labor activities to stay within budget, coordinate vehicle repairs and maintenance with the Fleet Manager, and review delivery productivity. The ABM will work closely with the Safety Department to facilitate training, conduct associate observations, and perform routine safety inspections. Additionally, the ABM will prepare work schedules, assist in training new associates, and handle driver payroll. They will also be responsible for making recommendations for disciplinary actions and behavior modifications when necessary, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and maintaining accurate field communications. The ABM will travel up to 50% of the time within an assigned geographical area and will be expected to perform other duties and projects as assigned. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment.
