About The Position

Liverpool Animal Health Center is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a busy 5 doctor practice that sees dogs, cats, pocket pets, exotics, and wildlife. LAHC is AAHA and NYSVMS accredited. LAHC strives to use each staff member to the top of their skillset. We offer diagnostics including in-house bloodwork, radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, and ECG. We also offer low level laser therapy and acupuncture, as well as partake in clinical trials. Basically? You get to do some really cool “stuff” with us! All our LVTs use the full spectrum of their skills and are involved in lab, surgery, treatments, etc.

Requirements

  • Veterinary Technician license or license eligible.
  • You have confidence in blood draws, anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
  • Comfortable with rotating Saturday shifts and are committed to excellent attendance
  • A dependable and adaptable team player who brings energy and positivity to work

Responsibilities

  • Assist in patient care, surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostics
  • Support our DVMs during appointments, exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Perform hands-on tasks including drawing blood, catheter placement, and injections, take radiographs and performs EKGs.
  • Communicate clearly with clients on treatment plans, patient updates, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Collaborate with all team members to promote hospital efficiency and workflow
  • Embrace mentorship, growth, and ongoing skill development in a structured, supportive environment
