Vet Tech Specialist - Behavior
About The Position
The primary focus for the BA/BT is to assist behaviorist, Dr. Lore Haug and Dr. Blake Gibson, to make daily function more efficient and effective for the clients. The BA/BT is expected to be dedicated to promoting the physical and behavioral health and welfare of all patients. The employee should remember at all times that he/she is a reflection of VCA Lexington and the caring and professional image that we wish to project to the public and our colleagues. The BA/BT should abide by the recommendations and rules set forth in the VCA Employee manual to maintain professional cohesion. The BA/BT’s primary duties include the following:
Responsibilities
- Prepare for the daily appointments prior to appointment
- Client Communication and services
- Maintaining client/patient charts
- Perform independent case appointments as skill level dictates
- Inventory and supplies
- Miscellaneous duties
