Vet Nurse - Part time or Casual

Who are we We are a 3 vet clinic Hawthorn that know helping our clients starts with providing a good understanding of health care issues and treatment options. W e aim to provide health care that makes your pet feel at ease, in our modern and fully equipped clinic. We want to provide on-the-spot assistance for nearly all pet health and medical needs . About the Job: You'll have a rotation between surgical nursing and reception shifts - so you'll always have a variety! Whether its creating bonds with our clients in reception, performing nurse consultations or focusing on our hospital and surgery patients. We plan our days ahead, so you will always have a clear understanding of what your day will look like! Our clinic is a place where growth is encouraged, with access to practical training programs all year round. We love initiative and will support you in being the best nurse you can be!
Requirements
- Flexible and reliable
- Able to work 20-25 hours a week
- Passionate about patient care and always advocate for best practice
- Open minded and eager to learn new ways to work
- Proactive
- Able to keep the clinic running smoothly
- Cert IV in Vet Nursing or equivalent
- Preferably have 2 years of clinical experience
Responsibilities
- Rotation between surgical nursing and reception shifts
- Creating bonds with clients in reception
- Performing nurse consultations
- Focusing on hospital and surgery patients
- Managing the reception area
- Assisting the vets in between consults
- Preparing for the next surgery
