About The Position

Are you an experienced Audiologist with a passion for vestibular care and a heart for those who serve? Join a specialized interdisciplinary team at the Intrepid Spirit Center at Fort Bragg, NC, dedicated to improving outcomes for service members and families affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI) and related conditions. We are seeking a Vestibular Audiologist to provide advanced audiological services including vestibular evaluation and treatment in support of the Defense Health Agency's MQS2-SB Joint Venture contract. What You’ll Do Audiological Assessment & Diagnosis Engage in differential diagnosis of the full range of hearing problems including functional, mixed, conductive, sensory, neural, sensorineural, and central hearing losses. Conduct and interpret advanced audiological and electrophysiologic evaluations including auditory evoked potentials, video nystagmography, tinnitus, and balance assessments. Administer comprehensive vestibular evaluations and be comfortable treating patients with abnormal findings. Perform compensation and pension evaluations and provide expert opinions regarding etiology of auditory dysfunctions. Treatment & Patient Care Diagnose audiologic disorders and treat auditory disorders through various modalities, providing adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders. Demonstrate advanced competence in amplification, signal processing technology, bio-electric implanted devices, and advanced vestibular assessment and treatment/management. Utilize patient records, patient performance, and family interviews as data in the diagnostic process and patient care. Documentation & Compliance Document and close notes in MHS Genesis Respond to beneficiary messages in the MHS Genesis secure portal Participate in committees, quality improvement initiatives, and in-service training as directed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Audiology or Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) degree, or other doctoral degree in hearing science or a directly related field from a U.S. Department of Education accredited institution.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or American Board of Audiology (ABA) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice audiology at the doctoral level in any U.S. state, DC, Guam, Puerto Rico, or US Virgin Islands.
  • Minimum two (2) years of audiological experience within the last five (5) years
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must obtain and maintain a 10-digit National Provider Identifier (NPI)

  • Preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Must have recent experience conducting vestibular evaluations.
