About The Position

The Democratic National Committee is looking for a talented and creative vertical video producer to join our digital team. The individual hired for this position will oversee the production of vertical videos for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts that directly contribute to the growth of DNC accounts on those platforms.

Requirements

• Significant experience creating successful videos for TikTok
• Proficiency in mobile-first editing applications, such as CapCut and Kapwing
• Deep knowledge of platform trends and viral formats
• Experience directing on-camera talent
• The ability to work quickly and efficiently in high-pressure situations
• The ability to collaborate respectfully and effectively with others
• The desire to create informative and persuasive videos that inspire viewers to support Democratic candidates and causes

Responsibilities

• Create multiple high-performing vertical videos each week for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts
• Independently oversee the production of vertical videos from ideation to publishing
• Draft DTCs and explainer video scripts for principals
• Keep up with platform trends and constantly come up with new, high-potential ideas
• Cover events, such as rallies and town halls
• Establish effective ways to use footage from live streams, press conferences, and events, as well as news coverage, to create high-performing videos
• Help grow DNC accounts on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
