Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL) Machinist B 2nd Shift
About The Position
Operate Machinery and Equipment following all safety requirements. Able to Operate Machinery independently making necessary tooling changes and off-sets to the program. Perform required Self Inspection of parts as they are produced. Record the required inspection data on Self-Inspection Reports. (SIR's) Maintain production levels as to meet Standards. Crane Operation Skills for material handling or machine fixture movement. Follow Job Travelers, Procedures, Drawings and Work Instructions to perform Technical requirements for product manufactured. Handle material safely and in accordance with safety requirements. Maintain House Keeping requirements for the Work Station assigned
Requirements
- Must be able to interpret Blue Prints, Process Documentation and mathematically determine machine Off-sets.
- Ability to read all measuring and gauging instruments, work instructions.
- Good mechanical aptitude and dexterity
- Minimum 3yrs of Manual or CNC VTL machine operation experience or Trade School Diploma with machining experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Frequently required to push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs.
