About The Position

The Vertex Internship Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry. Requirements

  • Desired candidate is a senior pursuing a bachelor's degree or a graduate student in a scientific or technical discipline
  • Interest in learning about systems and applications used by Medical Affairs and Medical Writing teams
  • Interest in understanding the fundamentals of System Life Cycle (SLC) and IT operational practices
  • Interest in learning and implementing waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future
  • Candidate must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before August 2025
  • Candidate must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week May - August 2025

Responsibilities

  • Interface with Business users in MWS and/or Medical Affairs and DTE team members to develop business requirements
  • Take ownership of tasks required for new system implementation/upgrades and testing (DocXtools, SmartDocs, Share point)
  • Assist in updating and creating workflows for maintaining SharePoint sites MWS/Medical Affairs
  • Assist in developing training materials for system being implemented/upgraded
