Requirements

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field of study.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future.
  • Must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before June 2026.
  • Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from January - June 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Finished Goods, Drug Product and Upstream Material teams to assess inventory levels, Open Purchase Orders and Material Movements.
  • Create a reporting tool to track current and projected on-hand inventory levels with expiry and inventory value data.
  • Manage the operations of Vertex's commercial external manufacturing network.
  • Plan and execute shipments in support of Vertex's Cell and Gene therapy programs.
  • Support launch and lifecycle management of Vertex commercial medicines.
  • Manage operational excellence initiatives supporting manufacturing and/or supply chain.
  • Define a problem, gather customer requirements, measure and analyze processes, and implement improvement projects.
  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure adequate mitigation plans for known risks.
