Your Impact The Vertex Commercial Technology co-op program is a 6-month experiential training program for students currently working towards an undergraduate or advanced degree. What you will be doing: As a member of Vertex’s Commercial Technology IT team (referred to as Data, Technology, & Engineering (DTE) here at Vertex), the co-op will assist in managing, planning, and executing key projects and initiatives to support our commercial platform and operations. The work will span multiple areas, including but not limited to, global system rollout, cybersecurity certifications, development of system documentation, and business analyst duties. The scope of this role will allow the co-op to gain experience and exposure to the development, rollout, and support of commercial technologies within the life sciences industry.

Requirements

  • Entering Senior Year of Undergraduate School or pursuing a Master’s degree or MBA Degree in Information Technology and/or Business-related field
  • Interests in pursuing a career in information technology, project management, or life sciences operations
  • Experience with MS Office applications (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneNote, Project, Visio, etc)
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future. Please note that Vertex does not provide sponsorship for internships or entry level roles within this part of the organization.
  • You must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from July – December 2026

Responsibilities

  • Support the activation team with the rollout of new technologies to our global commercial hospital partners.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of federated login functionality in the US and Canada.
  • Support the development and implementation of operational KPIs for the Commercial, Patient and External Affairs Technology team.
  • Business analysis support for our main external platform.
  • Prepare presentation decks and documents to support key meetings.
  • Assist in maintaining project plans and status reports.
  • General documentation management.
