At Vantor, you’ll work with the U.S. Space Force as part of the effort to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning (MW), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters to defeat our enemies in battle. Within this role, you will develop Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), technical assessments, verification plans, and digital mission and system models for satellite systems and payloads. Your functional expertise, communication and collaboration skills, and attention to detail will be vital as you contribute to the acquisition and development of space sensing capabilities. Requirements

  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field
  • 5+ years of experience performing systems engineering or integration
  • Experience in requirements and interface management, including development, decomposition, and traceability
  • Experience performing systems engineering for satellite systems
  • Experience navigating Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), preparing technical artifacts and presentations, and leading Working Groups (WGs) and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
  • Experience using management tools such as DOORS, Cameo, or Jama
  • Experience using Confluence and Jira
  • Knowledge of the Verification and Validation (V&V) lifecycle
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), defense weather, and tactical ISR mission areas
  • Experience with OPIR payloads, space-based weather payloads, satellite busses, and satellite subsystems, including propulsion, thermal control, power, attitude control, TT&C, communications, data processing, and structures
  • Experience leading a team performing systems engineering, integration, and testing on space-based remote sensing systems
  • Experience leading a team using a Model-Based Systems Engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baselines
  • Experience with digital engineering and model-based systems engineering
  • TS/SCI clearance
