Verification Pharmacist - Evening (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM)
About The Position
Southend Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Verification Pharmacist. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of compounded medications while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards. This role supports high-volume operations with a focus on quality assurance, customer service, and continuous improvement. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly impact the safety and well-being of our patients Please note that this evening shift schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM; however, hours may be adjusted based on business needs, and flexibility in availability is expected to support teams and operational demands.
Requirements
- Active pharmacist license in good standing from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- Minimum one year experience in a high volume pharmacy setting
- Proficient in interpreting and filling patient-specific provider orders
- Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, efficiency, and accuracy skills
- Pharmacist license required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with compounded medications including sterile and non-sterile environments
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth pharmacy setting
Responsibilities
- High volume verification of compounded sterile and non-sterile prescriptions
- Provide high-level customer service with a business and sales or marketing mindset
- Ensure efficient and accurate dispensing and customer service
- Collaborate with team members across all departments
- Ensure all regulatory laws and requirements are followed and met
