About The Position

The Venue Operations Lead serves as a working team leader responsible for guiding and supporting the Venue Support team in the execution of event setups, breakdowns, and daily operational tasks. This role acts as an on-site resource to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with event specifications and safety standards. While actively participating in hands-on event operations, the Venue Operations Lead assists the Venue Operations Supervisor with crew coordination, quality control, and maintaining organized, event-ready facilities to help deliver seamless events and positive guest experiences.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for client meetings and events.
  • Valid AZ driver's license, provide a 39-month satisfactory MVR report.
  • Obtain a Tribal operator driving permit at the time of hire.
  • A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs.
  • Acknowledge and agree to maintain a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in daily venue setup and breakdown activities.
  • Provide day-of direction to Venue Support team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Review event orders (BEOs), layouts, and timelines to understand event requirements.
  • Monitor assigned areas to ensure event readiness and proper execution of floor plans.
  • Communicate operational needs or concerns to the Venue Operations Supervisor.
  • Assist with coordinating operational details between internal teams including Sales, Security, Facilities, and other departments as directed.
  • Support vendor load-in/load-out processes and ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Help identify and address routine operational challenges, escalating complex issues to leadership.
  • Support on-site execution of large or high-profile events as assigned.
  • Serve as a resource and point of contact for Venue Support staff during events.
  • Provide guidance, training reinforcement, and task clarification to team members.
  • Monitor productivity and assist in maintaining labor efficiency during events.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and safe work practices.
  • Follow and reinforce all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and team members.
  • Ensure proper lifting techniques and safe equipment handling procedures are followed.
  • Monitor event spaces to ensure fire lanes, exits, and walkways remain clear.
  • Ensure event venues are properly secured after events, including verifying equipment is returned to storage and all designated doors, gates, and facilities are locked.
  • Report incidents, damages, safety hazards, or injuries to management per company protocol.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to guests and clients.
  • Assist with minor client or guest requests and elevate concerns to the Venue Operations Supervisor when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional and visible presence during events.
  • Work collaboratively with Event Managers and cross-functional departments to ensure smooth and efficient event execution.
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding event progress and operational needs.
  • Operate company vehicles and transport equipment and supplies as assigned in support of event operations.
